Samedi passé avait lieu le premier mini hackfest pour OpenImpro. En fait, c’est que Yannick Bélanger s’est joint à moi pour poursuivre le développement du projet. Puisqu’il est un utilisateur professionnel de PHP, ses connaissances sont les bienvenues pour améliorer le projet et sa sécurité.

I started in mid september, I’m now working at infoglobe and it’s an almost exclusively Free Software company. from server to desktop we run SLES, RH, centOS, fedora or ubuntu. On the sysadmin side we’re the most qualified in Novel and RedHat in Quebec while on web site we’re the best TYPO3 shop in Canada.

Quelques personnes m’ont demandé comment s’était passé le mapping party, notamment Richard sur la liste talk-ca@openstreetmap. Comme je suis paresseux, voici ce que je lui ai répondu:
I had a great time. We were five people at the meeting point Saturday morning. Two of us were by bicycle (Thibault and myself), one by feet (Daniel), and two were going to use one car (Michel and his wife). I covered about half of the Ahuntsic West zone I had assigned myself.

I just wanted to say thanks to Omar and everyone who put on Drupalcamp Montreal. I had a great time, learned a lot and hopefully made a bunch of new friends ;)
I'd say the weekend was a success and I look forward to Drupalcamp Montreal part Deux in the future!

En écoutant le podcast de Bruno Guglielminetti, je viens d’apprendre que les Québécois seraient les moins connectés à l’Internet sans fil au Canada. Est-on vraiment à la traine ?

Encore une fois une application du web 2.0 m'a épaté. Je vous invite a regarder cette petite vidéo. Circlepad Quand je pense que ma toute première page web, je l'avais codé avec le callepin! Dire qu'il y a quelques années, on expliquait encore le html dans les cours (...)

I spent Friday and Saturday at DrupalCamp Montreal, which was a great event — we had over 60 participants and all the sessions were small, informal presentations in which everyone attending had a chance to share their thoughts and ask questions. There were several sponsors but particular thanks is due to Koumbit who did most of the organizing (and contributed the most cash); this event wouldn't have happened without them.

La nouvelle version stable de GParted Live CD, outil de partitionnement très populaire, basée sur Debian "Lenny", est désormais disponible. Elle inclut le noyau Linux 2.6.26-5 et hfsprogs. Trois paramètres au démarrage ont été ajoutés : gl_lang, gl_kbd et gl_batch. VGA 1024x768 est utilisé par framebuffer au démarrage. L'icône pour clé USB sur le bureau a été supprimée. Cette version a été mis à jour avec live-initramfs 1.139.1.
