I presented the VisibleGovernment.ca Expense Visualizer pilot to a full room at Montreal on Rails yesterday, with the intention of recruiting volunteers for a soon-to-be-announced coding meetup.  The presentation was well received:  I was surprised -- and gratified -- to find a number of people already interested in online tools for government transparency in the crowd. You can see the presentation here, and give feedback on it (and the project in general), here. More details on the upcoming coding meetup to follow.
